Today after aca rehearsal, kelly and i met our mum and dad at AMK's foodcourt for dinner. shortly after we finished eating, a cleaning lady wanted to clear our table although we were still having dessert. having brought her trolly thingum, we allowed her to do so. unfortunately when she was almost finished, she accidentally dropped one of the plates, spilling some chilli sauce on my dad's shirt, (well just a little.) my dad wasn't angry about it ... though I WAS.
moral of the (lame) story?
WAIT TILL THE CUSTOMER LEAVES THE TABLE BEFORE CLEARING UP. I seriously hate people who can't wait. after all, you're paid by the hour, not by the number of tables you clean. is singapore really that fast-paced such that you have no patience? after all, the food court won't cry if you don't clean fast enough.
now now, i know i sound insensitive and rude here but hey, when you work in the F&B INDUSTRY, good service (including appropriate cleaning sechdules) is IMPORTANT, well of course food is just as important ....
ANYWAY BACK TO MY POINT, is it really that hard to wait for just that one more minute for the customer to leave? i know it's dinner time and many people are coming but then again, it dosen't really take that long clear the tables -.-
i've got this feeling people are gonna tell me things like: they're cleaners, give them a break.
whoa wait, just because they are cleaners dosen't mean they can't do things right. after all, we're all humans, god gave us brains for a reason.
i believe that they should be taught when to clean at the appropriate time. right? :]
okay, come to think of it, it's okay to clear the table before they leave. but the problem is .... THAT TROLLY THINGY THEY BRING ALONG WITH THEM EVERYWHERE. like seriously, it kinda sickens people to see the rubbish and dirty plates.
solution to that problem?
put plate drop-off stations at certain areas. if you want, bring a tray along so that you can carry more dishes there.
ISN'T IT BETTER??
sigh, singapore should really do something about this.
