i would be very immature if right now i would rant about what happened this morning in school. however all i can say is that i (or we, being timothy, fazarul and kleeve) felt rather disrespected as performers. im sure a few extra minutes wouldnt kill our guests right? like, seriously.
Anywayy, i was supposed to sing what are words by chris medina (which is an awesomelyfantabulous song) with timothy playing the piano followed by a duet-ish with fazarul plus kleeve on the guitar. sigh, 2 songs i'll never get to sing on stage for the next few months!
having watched a play by lasalle's acting graduating students entitiled 'big love' plus rehearsing that song with the dudes has taught/shown me a few things:
1. not moving your eyeballs while being 'frozen' really makes you look professional! (drama)
2. staying in character whether coming/leaving stage is REALLY IMPORTANT.
3. theatrical acting is REALLY physically demanding! (drama)
4. i saw how extreeeemely important backstage crews are. the lighting and stuff play a huge role in setting the mood! (drama)
5. i've underestimated the power of singing with someone playing the piano live. i can't tell you how awesome it felt during mini-rehearsals despite several mistakes. it beats having a karaoke track playing whilst singing (which i normally do.)
6. I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE PIANO AGAIN. it's official. so next time i can actually sing and play the piano at the same time! it's added to my list of goals ;)
i shall end the post here since all i could think is well ... nothing much. heh.
